Dr. Daniel Polonsky is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist. He conducts intake evaluations, neuropsychological and psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and provides patient feedback. Dr. Polonsky works with individuals across the lifespan who have neurodevelopmental disorders, degenerative diseases, complex neurological conditions (e.g., epilepsy, cerebral palsy, and hydrocephalus etc.), sleep disorders, and affective conditions. He has extensive experience providing care in outpatient clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes. In addition, Dr. Polonsky has experience training, supervising, and educating doctoral level clinical psychology students.
Dr. Polonsky is an adjunct professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP), where he introduces doctoral students to the fundamentals of biology, neurology, and neuroscience, along with the biological roots of psychiatric and mental health conditions. He also is a guest lecturer, and he shares his expertise and passion for psychology and neuropsychology with audiences of all ages in academic and clinical settings.
Dr. Polonsky earned his B.S. in Brain and Behavioral Sciences from Purdue University and his Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Psychology degree with an emphasis in Clinical Neuropsychology from Adler University. During his internship at Rutgers University – Student Wellness Center, he provided psychotherapy and neuropsychological and psychological assessments to students. He completed a 2-year fellowship and post-doctoral training in neuropsychology at ARCC Neuropsychology. He has research experience in memory, epilepsy, and neuroimmunology.
Beyond his professional work, Dr. Polonsky is an avid golfer, musician, and reader. He loves traveling, attending plays and orchestra concerts, and immersing himself in different cultures.
Fluent in both English and Russian, Dr. Polonsky is dedicated to providing accessible, compassionate, and meaningful care and assist patients navigate their cognitive and emotional well-being.
